Majority of elementary schools in Japan do not require their students to wear school uniforms. Many schools in Japan require boy students to wear white shirts with short pants and caps. Young school lads are compulsorily made to wear formal dresses during their class pictures than in any other school days. We can see many schools designing their school uniforms by providing variations in different aspects such as ties, batches and so. School uniforms in Japan vary greatly according to the climate experienced in that part of the world. In order to prevent traffic accidents school students are advised to wear brightly colored caps during their journey to and from schools. In the past many students in Japan used to wear school uniforms even after school hours just for the case of fashion but now a day this habit is reduced to a greater extent and students are seen top wear casual dresses after their school hours.
